Kyiv city eases quarantine restrictions for restaurants and cinemas

The Kyiv Emergency Commission has allowed restaurants, catering establishments, cinemas and theaters to remain open after 10 p.m.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated this at a briefing on July 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Today, the city's emergency commission has allowed restaurants, catering establishments, cinemas and theaters to operate after 10 p.m., in compliance with sanitary norms and regulations," Klitschko said.

At the same time, the mayor reminded that the hours of entertainment establishments and cultural events in the capital remain limited and they have to end their work at 10 p.m.

As reported, on July 1, the Kyiv city government decided to intensify anti-epidemic measures in the capital. In particular, the opening hours of catering and entertainment facilities, including cinemas, were limited. They had close at 10 p.m. Mass cultural, entertainment, sports and advertising events were also limited and had to end at 10 p.m.

The adaptive quarantine is in force in Ukraine until July 31.

On July 6, Ukraine’s laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 grew to 49,043. Some new 543 infections have been confirmed in the previous day.
