Kyiv ranks 92d in Smart City Index 2019

The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, ranks 92d in the IMD Smart City Index 2019 presented by the IMD World Competitiveness Center’s Smart City Observatory, in partnership with Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

The first edition of the Index ranks 102 cities worldwide.

“Being a globally-recognized ‘smart’ city is now critical for attracting investment and talent,” underscores the presentation of the IMD Smart City Index 2019.

The SCI is evaluated over five key areas: Health & Safety, Mobility, Activities, Opportunities for work and school, and Governance.

The Top 10 smartest cities in 2019 are: Singapore (AAA overall rating), Zurich (AAA), Oslo (AA), Geneva (AA), Copenhagen (AA), Auckland (A), Taipei City (A), Helsinki (A), Bilbao (A) and Dusseldorf (A).

Kyiv ranks 92d with the overall ranking of C.

Among the post-Soviet cities, only Moscow (72d, CCC) and St. Petersburg (73d, CCC) are ranked in the IMD Smart City Index 2019.
