Most Ukrainians use Facebook

The vast majority of Ukrainian citizens use Facebook, but there is still a share of those who use forbidden Russian social media, according to a survey conducted by the Socis Center for Social and Marketing Research from March 5 to March 10, 2019.

According to the poll, 70.9% of respondents use Facebook, 36.7% - Google+, and 32.8% - Instagram. At the same time, only 5.9% of those polled said they used Twitter.

However, there are also those in Ukraine who use forbidden social networking sites - Odnoklassniki (10.2%), VKontakte (9.1%), and My World@Mail.Ru (2.3%).

Only 12.2% of respondents do not use any social media in Ukraine.

The survey also revealed that 49.8% of respondents use the Internet every day, 10.8% - four or five times a week, and 29.7% - several times a month.

The Socis Center for Social and Marketing Research conducted a nationwide survey from March 5 to March 10, 2019. A total of 2,000 respondents aged over 18 years from all regions of Ukraine (except for the population of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions) were interviewed. The poll's margin of error does not exceed 2.1%.
