Ukraine’s Banda design company, the developer of Ukraine Now brand, has been recognized as the agency of the year at the Red Dot Award.

The decision to award the Ukrainian agency the biggest prize of the competition was announced at the awarding ceremony of the prestigious international design award Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2018 in Berlin on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“When last year we received an award for Eurovision here and announced the winner in Agency of the Year category, we all wished to appear on this stage in this role... A year has passed, and we are in this role! It is even hard to believe!” agency’s co-owner Yaroslav Serdyuk said.

In addition, the Banda won a Grand Prix for new branding of the OKKO filling station complex.

In general, four Ukrainian projects were awarded the Red Dot Best of the Best: OKKO (Lviv) by Banda agency; the “National Parks of Ukraine: Encoded identity” project by Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine in the Brand Design & Identity category; the Ukrainian Creative Week event for designers and advertisers by Tough slate design; and Charles Bukowski Glitch Book “Liuta Sprava” by Tough slate design in the Publishing & Print Media category.
