About two thousand Russians pass biometric control at the entry into Ukraine for past day – Slobodyan

During the first day of the biometric control at the entrance to Ukraine, the border was crossed by 3,300 foreigners, including about 1,900 citizens of the Russian Federation.

Spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodyan said this in the air of 112 Ukraina TV channel.

"During the first 24 hours of operation of the biometric control system, more than 3,300 foreigners from the category that is subject to the biometric control crossed the border, almost 1,900 of them were Russian citizens. The system worked without failures, there were no conflicts or provocations," he said.

As reported, on January 1, 2018, the biometric data control system for citizens from 71 countries began to work. On December 27, Ukraine launched a test mode of biometric control on the border with Russia.
