Child Bandura players set national record on Independence Day in Kherson

In Kherson on Independence Day child Bandura players set a national record for the largest performance of the popular spiritual hymn by Mykola Lysenko called Prayer for Ukraine, Ukrinform correspondent reports. 

"I can confirm the setting of a record in Kherson. A total of 132 child Bandura players [performed Prayer for Ukraine]. Congratulations on Ukrainian Independence Day and on the setting of this record," a representative of the National Registry of Records of Ukraine,Dmytro Yaitskiy, said after the end of the performance of the spiritual hymn.

He handed the head of Kherson Regional State Administration, Andriy Hordyeyev, who was present, a certificate issued by the National Registry of Records of Ukraine on the setting of the new record.

The child Bandura players are in the 8-9 and 15-16 age brackets.
