Over 1,200 war-affected Ukrainians treated abroad under Medevac Ukraine program in 2025

In 2025, a total of 1,230 Ukrainians affected by the war received free treatment and rehabilitation abroad under the Medevac Ukraine program.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Health announced this on Facebook.

“Our citizens were received by medical facilities in 33 countries around the world. The largest numbers were in Germany – 1,803 patients, followed by Latvia – 820, Norway – 467, the Netherlands – 460, and Poland – 454,” the statement said.

The ministry recalled that the Medevac Ukraine program was launched in April 2022 in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the European Union, the World Health Organization, and the governments of European countries.

Overall, since the program began, 6,273 Ukrainians have benefited from it, the majority of them servicemen and veterans.

As Ukrinform previously reported, in 2025 more than 200 Ukrainian veterans, both men and women, underwent rehabilitation abroad.
