Zelensky, Modi discuss expanding bilateral ties across key sectors

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky announced the meeting on Facebook.

“I met with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Our countries have great potential for cooperation, and we are already implementing joint projects. Today, we discussed how to give them even more substance and expand cooperation across various sectors,” the President wrote.

Zelensky and Modi exchanged views on the prospects of such a mutually beneficial partnership and agreed on the importance of further developing it.

The Indian Prime Minister emphasized that he is ready to promptly consider all proposals put forward by Ukraine.

The two leaders agreed that their teams would remain in close contact.

As reported by Ukrinform, the G7 leaders said in a joint statement following the summit in France that they had agreed to increase supplies of air defense systems and long-range weapons to Ukraine. The leaders also pledged to intensify pressure on Russia’s war economy.
