Zelensky names effective format for Europe's participation in peace talks

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Europe must take part in peace negotiations - and that there are effective formats for this.

The President of Ukraine said this in his evening address, Ukrinform reports.

"Europe needs its own voice, its own position, and its own contribution to all diplomatic efforts that can help end this war. The E3 format – the United Kingdom, France, and Germany – is effective. Plus the Nordics," he said.

The head of state recalled that today he had talks with the Prime Ministers of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, and Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, and the key topics were diplomacy and weapons for defense.

"The war that Russia launched against Europe is, in fact, a war it is waging against the entire democratic world, and everyone must do their part to stop Russian aggression and its constant attempts to destabilize everyone around it," Zelensky concluded.

As reported, the President said that ending the war is the most important issue for Ukraine, and that he is ready for any format of negotiations, including a meeting with Russian dictator Putin. At the same time, according to Zelensky, the fairest format is one that involves, in addition to Ukraine and Russia, the US and Europe.
