Zelensky discusses continued work of Ukrainian experts in Middle East with UAE President

President Volodymyr Zelensky had a call with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky reported this on Telegram.

During the conversation, Zelensky condemned the recent Iranian strikes on the UAE. He stressed that “we must make every effort to truly protect life in the Gulf region, which is of global importance.”

“It is critical that our teams continue to work closely together in the area of security. I was glad to hear that Ukrainian expertise is truly helping build reliable protection for lives. We discussed continuing this work,” Zelensky wrote.

Zelensky also thanked the UAE President for assistance in bringing Ukrainian people back from Russian captivity and expressed hope that this cooperation would continue.

The two leaders also discussed joint energy projects, as well as other potential areas of cooperation across various sectors.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Zelensky described Iran’s strikes on the UAE as reckless and instructed Ukrainian diplomats to further develop security partnerships with Middle Eastern countries.
