The Ukrainian Foreign Minister said that during the meeting at NATO headquarters he briefed the Secretary General on the battlefield situation, ongoing peace efforts, and the significant achievements of Ukraine’s defense industry.
“We spoke about ways to further scale up the Ukrainian arms manufacturing with the support of NATO’s industrial base – for the mutual benefit of Ukraine and the Alliance. I emphasized the critical importance of NATO’s PURL initiative and new contributions to it,” Sybiha wrote.
He added that the talks also focused on preparations for the NATO summit in Ankara and its anticipated outcomes.
As reported by Ukrinform, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte assured President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting in Yerevan on the sidelines of the 8th European Political Community Summit that the PURL program remained operational and that anti-ballistic missiles would be supplied to Ukraine.
