Sybiha meets with Canada's FM
Canada's and Ukraine's foreign ministers, Anita Anand and Andrii Sybiha, discussed the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and progress toward achieving peace.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Sybiha stated this on his page on the social network X.
"Against the backdrop of Russia's ultimatums and daily attacks, we stressed the need to increase pressure on the aggressor, including through stronger sanctions and further common actions against Russia's 'shadow fleet,'" Sybiha said.
During the meeting, they also discussed the situation in the Middle East and "Ukraine's readiness to share its experience of operating under wartime conditions with partners."
"We also focused on practical defence cooperation, including joint military training under Operation UNIFIER, cooperation in drone and counter-drone production, and developing platforms to connect our defence industries," he noted.
According to him, they also mentioned "the importance of decisive steps to maintain Russia's international isolation, including in sports, and to prevent any return to 'business as usual.'"
As Ukrinform reported, Andrii Sybiha is taking part this week in several sessions of the Group of Seven foreign ministers' meeting in Paris, where they are discussing support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, energy, and threats arising from cooperation between Russia and Iran.
