Zelensky discusses threats from Iranian strikes with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa
President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a conversation with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain regarding the situation in the region and the threats posed by Iranian missile and drone strikes.
Zelensky stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"His Majesty outlined the situation in Bahrain and across the region. There are various challenges, particularly due to Iranian ballistic missile and drone strikes," he noted.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine understands well the experience of constant missile and drone attacks and the ways to counter them, as the country has faced similar threats for many years.
"We discussed how we can cooperate in this area and agreed that our teams will stay in contact," he informed.
Zelensky stressed that the protection of lives must be strengthened both in the Middle East and in Europe.
As Ukrinform previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to provide assistance to Middle Eastern countries in stabilizing the situation and protecting civilians in response to the threat of Iranian strike drones and missiles that are destabilizing the region and the global market.
