Eleven high-ranking foreign officials arrive in Kyiv
Eleven foreign guests, including European Union officials and leaders from Northern Europe and the Baltic states, have arrived in Kyiv to participate in events marking the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Presidential Spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov announced this to journalists.
"President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa, Prime Minister of EstoniaKristen Michal, Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir, Defense Minister of Lithuania Robertas Kaunas, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, and President of Finland Alexander Stubb. Many other countries and organizations are represented at another level," Nykyforov said.
He said that President Volodymyr Zelensky, First Lady Olena Zelenska, and foreign guests will participate in a prayer for Ukraine and honor the memory of fallen defenders.
According to Nykyforov, the guests will visit an energy infrastructure facility destroyed by Russian shelling. A meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and the Ukraine-Nordic-Baltic summit will be held in Kyiv.
As reported, four years ago, on February 24, 2022, at around 3:40 a.m., the first convoy of Russian tanks entered the Luhansk region, and Ukrainians in many cities woke up to the first enemy missile attacks.
During four years of full-scale war, Ukraine has inflicted considerable losses on Russia in terms of manpower, weapons, and enemy equipment.
According to the General Staff, the total combat losses of Russian troops in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to February 24, 2026, amount to about 1,261,420 soldiers.
