Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa arrive in Kyiv

“In Kyiv for the tenth time since the start of the war. To reaffirm that Europe stands unwaveringly with Ukraine, financially, militarily, and through this harsh winter,” von der Leyen said.
The official added that her visit underscores Europe’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s just struggle.
“And to send a clear message to the Ukrainian people and to the aggressor alike: we will not relent until peace is restored. Peace on Ukraine’s terms,” she emphasized.
“One shared resolve: to secure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. That’s why we are here in Kyiv today,” Costa wrote on X after his arrival.
At Kyiv’s railway station, von der Leyen and Antonio Costa were greeted by Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, four years ago on February 24, 2022, at around 3:40, the first column of Russian tanks entered the Luhansk region, while Ukrainians in many cities awoke to the first enemy missile strikes.
