Next round of peace talks to take place in Geneva within 10 days – Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the next round of peace negotiations is expected to take place within the next ten days in Geneva.
The Ukrainian President said this while speaking to journalists, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“We have agreed that another meeting will take place within ten days, most likely again in Geneva,” Zelensky said.
According to him, over the next two days “we will discuss and work out with the team the messages they will take to the next meeting.”
“And then we will see what mandate the negotiating groups will have,” the President added.
He stressed that there is still no agreement in the negotiation process on territorial issues.
“The fact that no one currently sees any positive developments on territorial issues is also a reality, and we must acknowledge this,” the head of state noted.
As reported earlier, following the talks in Geneva, President Zelensky said that there had been progress on military issues, particularly on monitoring a ceasefire, while on political issues – including territories, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, and other sensitive matters – the positions of the parties remain different.
