Ukrainian delegation already has framework for upcoming Geneva talks – president
The Ukrainian delegation already has the necessary framework for discussions within the upcoming trilateral meetings scheduled for next week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.
He recalled that yesterday, he had already coordinated with U.S. presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
"Ukraine will always be constructive. The American side knows this. But Ukrainians need to see real progress on security so there's real trust – trust both in diplomacy and in possible results. Overall, it is precisely the security issue that holds the key to ending the war," Zelensky said.
He stressed that Ukraine needs security guarantees, which remain the top priority.
The next round of negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia is scheduled for February 17-18 and will take place in Geneva, Switzerland.
On February 14, Zelensky discussed with Witkoff and Kushner certain proposals developed following the meetings in Abu Dhabi.
