Zelensky discusses peace process, energy, post-war recovery with Norway’s PM

President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the peace process, the energy situation, and post-war recovery with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

The Ukrainian President reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“I spoke with the Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. I am grateful to Jonas for his unwavering support. I informed him about the trilateral format of the meetings in the UAE that took place recently, as well as the preparations for the next meetings. Our team is working in the most constructive and substantive manner possible. Unfortunately, Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy sector and infrastructure continue, which, of course, undermines diplomatic efforts,” Zelensky said.

He noted that Norway has provided Ukraine with energy support packages that were “truly tangible.”

“It is important that Norway is ready to join the preparation of steps for recovery and post-war economic development of Ukraine. We will continue to expand joint opportunities in building modern defense capabilities,” the President emphasized.

As reported earlier, in January, Norway announced a $400 million support package for Ukraine. Half of the funds will be allocated for winter assistance, with the remainder going toward budget support.
