Rutte discusses situation in Greenland with Trump
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has reported a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the situation surrounding Greenland.
According to Ukrinform, Rutte shared the update on X.
"Spoke with the President of the United States regarding the security situation in Greenland and the Arctic," he wrote.
Rutte added that he looks forward to meeting Trump in Davos.
"We will continue working on this, and I look forward to seeing him in Davos later this week," the NATO chief said.
As reported by Ukrinform, according to surveys, only 17% of Americans support Trump’s efforts to purchase Greenland, while the vast majority of both Democrats and Republicans oppose the use of military force for this purpose.
