Costa invites Canada to European Political Community summit

President of the European Council António Costa has invited Canada as a guest to participate in the next summit of the European Political Community, which will take place in Yerevan in May.

He stated this on the social network X on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports.

"Together with Nikol Pashinyan,I have invited Mark Carney to participate as a guest in the next Summit of the European Political Community, in Yerevan," Costa emphasized.

He added that this is the first time a non-European country will take part in a European Political Community summit.

"Europe and Canada are more than just like-minded partners - together we are building a global alliance to defend peace, shared prosperity and multilateralism," Costa concluded.

As reported, the 8th European Political Community summit will take place on May 4 in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
