US in talks with Russia on Ukraine elections, but Kremlin stalling – Zelensky

The United States is conducting negotiations with Russia regarding the security of Ukraine's upcoming elections, but Russia has so far refused to agree to a ceasefire.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this while answering questions from journalists, Ukrinform reports.

"The Americans are definitely holding talks with the Russians and discussing different options. I will answer very simply: for now, Russia is turning up its nose, but our partners are strong enough – some of them especially – and they can twist that nose off if they want to," he said in response to a question from Ukrinform.
