Zelensky arrives in Cyprus

President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in the Republic of Cyprus on an official visit.

This was reported by the Office of the President, according to Ukrinform.

"The President is in Cyprus," said Sergii Nykyforov, spokesperson for the head of the Ukrainian state.

According to him, Zelensky's visit program includes meetings with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and Archbishop of Cyprus Georgios, as well as joint talks between the President of Ukraine, the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, the President of the European Council Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

In the evening, Zelensky will take part in the ceremony marking the start of the Republic of Cyprus's presidency of the Council of the European Union.

As previously reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated earlier that any adopted peace agreement must clearly specify a date for Ukraine's accession to the European Union, as EU membership is one of the security guarantees.
