First ladies and gentlemen from Europe and Latin America held an online meeting to review the results of 2025 and discuss plans for the coming year.

Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"On December 18, first ladies and gentlemen from Europe and Latin America held the annual wrap-up online meeting of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen Global Platform. They marked five years of the platform' work, reviewed the outcomes of 2025, and discussed plans for the next year, 2026. […] During the meeting, participants considered how the platform can continue to develop as an influential instrument of international humanitarian diplomacy based on the principles of solidarity and mutual support," the post said.

The meeting was attended by Ukraine's First Lady and founder of the Global Platform Olena Zelenska, Bo Tengberg (Denmark), Sirje Karis (Estonia), Lucrecia Peinado (head of the Alliance of Wives of Heads of State and Representatives of Latin America, Guatemala), Ales Musar (Slovenia), as well as representatives of the Office of Austria's First Lady Doris Schmidauer.

According to the statement, 2025 was a year in which the Global Platform significantly strengthened the Summit's international presence. In particular, the fifth Summit brought together representatives from more than 20 countries, while the global campaign "Every Generation Leaves Its Mark. Education Shapes Its Legacy" reached more than 26.5 million people in 32 countries.

In addition, an event bringing together four regional organizations of first ladies and gentlemen was held at the United Nations for the first time. The study "Education as a Tool for Shaping Personal Resilience, National Social Capital, and a Culture of Peace" highlighted the most pressing educational challenges facing schoolchildren, teachers, and parents.

Together with the Vienna Diplomatic Academy, the Summit also organized a training event for first ladies and gentlemen focused on the challenges facing modern diplomacy.

Two digital campaigns were also carried out, reaching more than 13 million people, in which platform participants, partners, and influencers addressed issues of mental health and the protection of children's rights.
