Sybiha meets foreign ministers of Finland, Lebanon in New York

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and his Finnish counterpart, Elina Valtonen, discussed the outcomes of recent contacts between Ukraine and the United States during their meeting in New York.

According to Ukrinform, Sybiha reported this on the social media platform X.

He thanked Finland for its steadfast support of Ukraine and principled leadership in the OSCE.

"We discussed the outcomes of the recent Ukraine-US contacts and further joint efforts to strengthen Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia," Sybiha said.

The ministers also reviewed steps to expand the work of the Civil Protection Shelter Coalition, with Sybiha expressing gratitude to Finland for its leadership role.

On Thursday, Sybiha also held his first meeting with Lebanon's Foreign Minister, Youssef Raggi, in New York.

Sybiha briefed his Lebanese counterpart on the frontline situation and Ukraine's latest diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just peace.

"We agreed to enhance our cooperation to realize the significant potential of Ukraine-Lebanon relations," he wrote.

The ministers focused on furthering political dialogue, economic and trade cooperation, and collaboration within international organizations.
