Ukraine, Oman foreign ministers hold meeting at UN headquarters
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi at the United Nations headquarters.
As reported by Ukrinform, Sybiha wrote this in a post on the social media platform X.
“We discussed peace efforts and our work to organize the meeting of leaders to speed up the end to the war. I proposed Oman to play a role in the peace process with its authoritative voice,” he wrote.
He also noted that the two sides discussed ways to develop mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors, including agriculture, technology, and trade.
“Ukraine opened its embassy in Muscat, demonstrating our willingness to strengthen ties,” Sybiha added.
As earlier reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s embassy in the Sultanate of Oman officially began operations in October of last year.
