Ukraine’s Ambassador to EU believes U.S. remains ally of Ukraine

Ukraine’s Ambassador to the EU, Vsevolod Chentsov, stated that the United States remains an ally of Ukraine despite tensions between Kyiv and Washington over recent months.

According to Politico, the diplomat made the remarks at the European Pulse forum, Ukrinform reports.

“Indeed, America is an ally for Ukraine,” Chentsov said.

He noted that Ukraine “still relies on U.S. help on air defense, and it’s critical for us.” At the same time, the ambassador emphasized growing cooperation with European partners and Ukraine’s own expanding drone capabilities.

Chentsov highlighted the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in “peace efforts” and stressed that Ukraine continues to rely on U.S. support, even as it deepens ties with Europe.
