NSDC secretary, NATO official discuss security guarantees for Ukraine
Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and NATO Senior Representative in Ukraine Patrick Turner have discussed security guarantees for Ukraine and their practical implementation.
Umerov announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The talks also covered the new PURL initiative for weapons procurement for Ukraine's Defense Forces and measures to strengthen cooperation with the Alliance.
"Our goal is a lasting peace based not on declarations but on concrete protection mechanisms and real security guarantees for our citizens," Umerov said.
He thanked Turner and the entire NATO Representation team for their consistent support and readiness to work together to reinforce the security of Ukraine and all of Europe.
President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that the basic document on Ukraine's security guarantees is almost complete, with work continuing on details to be agreed with all partners.
