Ukrainian MFA: Invitation for Witkoff to visit Kyiv remains in effect
The invitation for U.S. President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, to visit Kyiv remains valid.
This was stated by Ukrainian Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, at a briefing, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
When asked whether Witkoff would visit Kyiv at the invitation of the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, the diplomat replied: “The invitation remains valid.”
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 4, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing was held at the Élysée Palace in Paris, chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The meeting was attended by the President of Ukraine and the White House Special Representative.
