Zelensky gives Trump letter from Ukrainian first lady to Melania Trump

During a meeting at the White House, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented U.S. President Donald Trump a letter from the Ukrainian First Lady intended for Melania Trump.

Ukrinform reported this, referring to a live broadcast of the leaders’ meeting released by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“My wife, first lady of Ukraine, she gave the letter. It’s not to you — to your wife,” Zelensky told President Trump.

Zelensky expressed his gratitude to President Trump's wife for her letter concerning Ukrainian children. He made the remark while personally handing Donald Trump a letter from Ukraine’s First Lady.

“This is a very sensitive issue,” the Ukrainian President emphasized.

In response to journalists' questions about the letter, Donald Trump said that Melania Trump has “a great love of children.”

“She sees the heartbreak, the parents, the funerals that you see on television. Always funerals. We want to see something other than funerals,” he said.

As previously reported, U.S. President Donald Trump handed Russian President Vladimir Putin a letter from First Lady Melania Trump regarding abducted Ukrainian children during their meeting in Alaska.

The Bring Kids Back UA initiative expressed gratitude to U.S. First Lady Melania Trump for her concern over the destiny of Ukrainian children.
