Ukraine never to recognize occupied territories as Russian – Zelensky
Ukraine will never recognize occupied territories as Russian.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during a press conference, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.
"We will not recognize any territories occupied by Russia. This is a fact. Our people fought for this, our heroes gave their lives. So many have been wounded, so much has been endured. That is why no one will forget about it. When I say no one will forget, these are our fundamental red lines," Zelensky said.
He emphasized that the state will not allow anyone to forget this crime against Ukraine.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on Tuesday, March 11, a meeting between U.S. and Ukrainian delegations took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Following the negotiations, a joint statement was released, in which Ukraine expressed its readiness to accept the U.S. proposal for the immediate implementation of a temporary 30-day ceasefire. This ceasefire could be extended by mutual agreement, provided that Russia accepts and simultaneously adheres to its terms.
