Sandu condemns Russia's massive attack on Ukraine

President of Moldova Maia Sandu has condemned today's massive Russian attack on Ukrainian cities and called on international partners to speed up assistance to Kyiv.

She said this in a post on the social platform X, Ukrinform reports.

“I condemn Russia’s latest vicious attack on peaceful Ukrainian cities. As Ukraine bravely fights this continued aggression, I call on international partners to accelerate the provision of necessary support for Ukraine to defend its sovereignty and right to define its future,” Sandu posted.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night and morning of January 8, the Russian army launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using cruise, ballistic, anti-aircraft guided missiles and combat UAVs. Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed 8 drones and 18 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles. As a result of the attack, four people were killed and another 38 were injured.
