Ukraine counting on Azerbaijan's support for Crimea Platform, Peace Formula

First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova and Ambassador of Azerbaijan Seymur Mardaliyev discussed preparations for Сrimea Platform summit and Peace Formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The first deputy minister said this in a post on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Was glad to meet with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev. We discussed preparations to Crimea Platform Summit and Peace Formula. We count on Azerbaijan’ support of our initiatives aimed at restoration of just and lasting peace,” Dzhaparova wrote.

As reported, Crimea Platform is an international consultative and coordination format initiated by Ukraine to increase the effectiveness of the international response to the occupation of Crimea and growing security threats, raise international pressure on the Kremlin, prevent further violations of human rights and protect victims of the occupation regime. The main goal is the de-occupation of Crimea and its peaceful return to Ukraine.

Its activities officially began at the inaugural summit in Kyiv on August 23, 2021.
