Ukrainian flag raised next to EU flags in European Commission

On Europe Day, the flag of Ukraine was raised near the European Commission building in Brussels next to the EU flags.

The European Commission tweeted about it, Ukrinform reports.

“Today, we are flying the Ukrainian flag in the heart of Europe. As we mark Europe Day, we reaffirm our unwavering support and solidarity to Ukraine and its people. We stand by the Ukrainian people for as long as it takes” - the EC said in a statement.

It is also emphasized that Europe stood by Ukraine when Russia launched a full-scale invasion in February 2022. "We stand by the Ukrainian people for as long as it takes," the European Commission said.
