Italy’s new government to stand with Ukraine - Reznikov

The Italian government will continue to support Ukraine, said Oleksii Reznikov, Ukraine’s Defense Minister, following a phone call with his Italian counterpart Guido Crosetto.

The defense chief wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

The minister congratulated Crosetto on his appointment and discussed with him "prospects of cooperation on multilateral projects."

"Good news: the Italian Government will continue its support for Ukraine," Reznikov wrote.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on October 17, before the end of its term of office, Mario Draghi's government provided Ukraine with a new military aid package, the details of which were not disclosed.

Draghi's successor as Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, said Italy would continue to fully support Ukraine in its fights against Russian aggression.
