Erdogan set to discuss “grain corridors” with Zelensky, Putin

In the coming days, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the issue of further operations of "grain corridors" in the Black Sea.

This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Ukrinform reports with reference to Hürriyet.

"President Erdogan will hold negotiations with Zelensky and Putin," Cavusoglu said regarding the "grain deal."

Noting that Turkey is monitoring the process with the UN, Çavuşoğlu emphasized the need to take concrete steps to remove obstacles.

"At the moment, there are no problems with loaded vessels ... In order for grain transportation to continue, issues need to be overcome," he said.

Negotiations are set to be held in the coming days.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on October 29, the Russian Federation said it was suspending participation in the Black Sea Grain Initiative, justifying its move by a drone attack, for which it blamed Ukraine and UK, on Sevastopol Bay in Crimea where Russian warships were anchored. Despite Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal, 15 bulkers carrying Ukrainian cereals left Ukrainian ports.
