Zelensky speaks with Macron on strengthening Ukrainian air defenses, pressure on Russia

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron over the phone the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense systems and the need for a tough European and wider international response to Russian aggression.

The head of the Ukrainian state announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Also had an urgent call with @EmmanuelMacron. We discussed the strengthening of our air defense, the need for a tough European and international reaction, as well as increased pressure on the Russian Federation. France stands with Ukraine," Zelenskyi tweeted.

As reported, on Monday morning, Russia launched massive missile strikes on Ukraine.

In a call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Volodymyr Zelensky ensured that Germany convenes an urgent G7 meeting to address the latest strikes Russian launched at multiple critical infrastructure and civilian targets across Ukraine.
