Romanian President calls for bringing Russian war criminals to justice

While on a visit to Irpin, Kyiv region, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has said that Russian war criminals must be held accountable.

"I strongly renew my appeal for all Russian perpetrators to be held responsible by the international criminal justice, which Romania fully supports," the Romanian leader wrote, adding that he saw a great human tragedy in Irpin.

"No words to describe the unimaginable human tragedy and horrible destructions we saw today in Irpin," Johannis said.

European leaders visited Irpin, a city northwest of Ukraine’s capital’ Kyiv liberated from the invaders in early April.
