Free world understands Russia aims to tear Europe apart - Zelensky

The nations of the free world understand that the invasion of Ukraine is only the beginning, while the ultimate goal is to tear Europe apart.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today in Germany, an important meeting was held at the level of defense ministers of Ukraine's partner states, with a key issue on the agenda being to strengthen protection of the whole of Europe from Russia's aggressive ambitions. The ultimate goal of Russia's leadership is not just to seize the territory of Ukraine, but to dismember the entire center and east of Europe and deliver a global blow to democracy," Zelensky said.

He added that the free world has the right to self-defense and that is why it will help Ukraine even more.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a meeting of defense chiefs and chiefs of staff of more than 40 countries was held on Tuesday at the Rammstein air base in Germany, dedicated to military assistance to Ukraine.
