American bank blocks work of Russia’s general consulate in NY

Bank of America has blocked the accounts of part of the Russian diplomatic missions in the United States.

That’s according to Reuters, Ukrinform reports.

Russian Ambassador Anatoliy Antonov said the bank had this way “blockaded” the embassy’s work.

"The embassy is in essence blockaded by U.S. government entities. Accounts of our two consulates in Houston and New York have been closed by Bank of America," Antonov said.
