We will not give anything to anyone - Zelensky

Ukraine is not afraid of anyone or anything and remains committed to finding a diplomatic solution to the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in a televised video address early on Tuesday, February 22, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We are committed to a peaceful and diplomatic path, and we will follow only this path. We are on our own land. We are not afraid of anything or anyone. We owe nothing to anyone and we will not give anything to anyone. And we are sure of that. Now it's not February 2014, but February 2022. It's a different country, it's a different army. One goal is peace, peace in Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!" Zelensky said.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir signed decrees recognizing two self-proclaimed entities in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
