European Parliament president condemns Russia's recognition of two 'separatist territories'

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has strongly condemned Russia's decision to recognize self-proclaimed entities in the temporarily occupied territories in eastern Ukraine.

She wrote about this on her Twitter account.

"The recognition of the two separatist territories in Ukraine is a blatant violation of international law, the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the Minsk agreements. The EU and its partners will react with unity, firmness and with determination in solidarity with Ukraine," Metsola wrote.

Russian President Vladimir earlier signed decrees recognizing two self-proclaimed entities in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
