Ukraine seeks to enhance political, trade and cultural relations with Spain – Kuleba

Kyiv seeks to enhance political, trade and cultural relations between Ukraine and Spain.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this at a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, José Manuel Albares Bueno, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

Kuleba noted that at the meeting with his Spanish counterpart, they discussed the entire agenda of bilateral Ukrainian-Spanish relations, political dialogue, and outlined further prospects for the development of relations between the two countries.

In particular, special attention was paid to the further development of trade and investment.

"Spain is the largest importer of Ukrainian agricultural products in the European Union, and we can do a lot together in the sectors of high-tech, IT, renewable energy, so we need to give a start to all this in the interests of our countries and economies," he said.

As Ukrinform reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, José Manuel Albares Bueno is on an official visit to Ukraine on February 8-9.
