Shmyhal, Slovak Deputy PM discuss cooperation in digitalization

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Veronika Rémišová, Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Investments, Regional development and Informatization, discussed cooperation in the area of digitalization.

The meeting of the two officials took place on the sidelines of the third Diia Summit in Kyiv on February 8, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Government portal.

In particular, Shmyhal has stressed that Ukraine is becoming one of the world leaders in the digital sphere and is interested in new areas of cooperation with Slovakia in this direction.

"Our scientists are interested in cooperation in the field of cryptographic technologies, as we are paying a lot of attention to cybersecurity. We have established Ukraine's first National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity. Every day we counter cyber attacks on Ukraine's digital infrastructure. Therefore, we are interested in further cooperation in this direction,” the Prime Minister said.

In addition, Shmyhal and Rémišová discussed the development of cross-border cooperation in the field of digitalization of public services in the regions. According to the head of the Ukrainian Government, Ukraine and Slovakia could jointly implement such projects to improve access to public and social services.

As Ukrinform reported, the team of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation presented more than 10 new digital services at the Diia Summit 2022. The new services include the change of place of registration, new notifications in the Diia app, an updated Diia.Signature, services for pensioners and drivers, and some other digital projects and initiatives.
