No significant contradictions, conflicts between China, Ukraine - Ambassador Fan Xianrong

There are no significant contradictions and conflicts between China and Ukraine as the parties seek to resolve all issues through friendly consultations.

Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Fan Xiangong wrote about this in an oped for Ukrinform dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"There are no significant contradictions and conflicts between China and Ukraine. No matter what issues arise, they are always discussed through friendly consultations. Despite the fact that there are some differences related to history, regime, culture, and other aspects, both sides always adhere to the principles of non-interference in internal affairs and the principle of mutual support of sovereignty and territorial integrity, "said the diplomat.

The ambassador added that this historic and solemn promise given by China and Ukraine in the "Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations" has already become the norm for the development of relations between the two countries.

Fan Xiangong noted that the world is constantly faced with all sorts of threats, challenges, and great shifts. According to the diplomat, in order to achieve greater development and security in these conditions, all countries around the world must unite and cooperate even more actively. "China is ready to cooperate even better with Ukraine," the ambassador assured.

China and Ukraine established diplomatic relations on January 4, 1992.
