Warsaw to host session of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania

The 11th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine will take place in Warsaw on December 5-6, the Polish Senate's press service has told Ukrinform.

The program of the assembly envisages a meeting of the presidium of the three countries' parliaments on Sunday, December 5.

The opening of the session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the work of parliamentarians in thematic groups is scheduled for December 6. Bilateral talks between Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Marshal of the Polish Senate Tomasz Grodzki are also planned.

The final document is to be signed after the session of the Assembly. Stefanchuk, Grodzki and Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen will issue a joint press statement.

The Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania was established in 2005. The inaugural meeting of the Assembly took place in Kyiv in June 2008.
