Korynevych: Package of Crimea Platform bills drafted

A package of the Crimea Platform bills, including a bill on the administrative procedure for documenting the facts of birth and death in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, has been drafted.

“When we talk about the state policy on the reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories and the population living there, and the Crimea Platform initiative, it is especially important for the President that these initiatives must produce results in the state, for our citizens. That is why we have already drafted a certain package of bills, which we call the Crimea Platform package, and we believe it will contribute to achieving the goals of the Crimea Platform,” Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych said during a briefing at the Kalanchak entry-exit checkpoint, answering a question from an Ukrinform correspondent.

According to him, the package includes a bill on the administrative procedure for documenting the facts of birth and death in the temporarily occupied territory. The bill stipulates that the corresponding Ukrainian documents should be issued on the basis of administrative procedure, in the administrative service centers, not on the basis of judicial procedure as it occurs now, he explained.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk stressed during the briefing that the bill does not mean recognition of the documents issued by the Russian occupying authorities – everything will be spelled out and justified legally.

As reported, earlier Ukraine passed the first laws from the Crimea Platform package – on indigenous peoples and on the abolition of the free economic zone "Crimea".
