Migrant crisis: Zelensky discusses situation with European Council president

President Volodymyr Zelensky and European Council President Charles Michel have discussed the situation with migrants on the European Union-Belarus border.

President Zelensky wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Discussed with Charles Michel the situation on the EU-Belarus border and other security challenges in the region. Agreed to coordinate the next steps. We must act together against hybrid attacks,” he wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, last week large groups of migrants tried to break through the border from Belarus to Poland, but their attempts were stopped.

The migrant crisis on the Belarus-Poland border has been ongoing on since August. Poland, as well as Lithuania and Latvia, accuse Belarus of deliberately creating migratory pressure as part of hostile hybrid actions against them as EU countries.
