Kuleba reveals main topic of Zelensky's visit to Great Britain

President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the United Kingdom will be dedicated to Ukraine's participation in the 26th UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.

"This visit will be primarily dedicated to Ukraine's participation in the global conference on combating climate change. This is the main issue on the agenda," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at an online briefing on Wednesday, October 20, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He added that some bilateral meetings might be held with a "classic agenda": the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the de-occupation of Crimea, the protection of the rights of political prisoners, and Ukraine's energy security.

"These are the key issues that will be discussed further if any bilateral meetings are held," the minister said.

As reported, the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) will be held in Glasgow from October 31 to November 12, 2021.

In an interview with Dom TV channel, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Vadym Prystaiko said that an official visit of the Ukrainian delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United Kingdom was expected to be made in late October.
