Kuleba: OSCE PA resolution is an important contribution to overcoming security crisis

The Ukrainian Ministry for Foreign Affairs welcomes the adoption of an urgent resolution on Ukraine by the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

"The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomes the adoption by the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) on July 6 of an urgent resolution ‘On the destabilizing military build-up by the Russian Federation near Ukraine in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, Ukraine, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov’. The resolution was initiated by the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the OSCE PA,” reads a report posted on the Ukrainian MFA’s website.

According to the ministry, the adoption of this resolution reaffirmed the unity of the international community in condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

"This is an important contribution to international efforts to overcome the European security crisis caused by Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. The document promotes the implementation of previous Assembly resolutions and notes that Russia's aggression against Ukraine seriously violates the fundamental principles of the OSCE," said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, when commenting on the adoption of the document.

As Ukrinform reported, the regular session of the OSCE PA was held in a remote format between June 30 and July 6.
