President appoints Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to UN Office in Geneva

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Yevheniia Filipenko as Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The relevant decree, No.148/2021, was published on the president’s website.  

"To appoint Filipenko Yevheniia Illivna as Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva," the document reads.

According to the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, prior to this appointment, Filipenko worked as director of the Directorate General for International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, President Zelensky signed decree No.146/2021 to dismiss Yuriy Klymenko from the post of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
